Erectile dysfunction medicines took in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health authorities during a search of a house in Glengormley.

A male was spoken with by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications by means of the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other .

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was carried out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: "It is crucial that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.

"These kinds of products being offered, normally online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their security.

"You merely do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More importantly, you do not know the impact drugs like this might have on your health."
