Erectile dysfunction medications took in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been seized by Department of Health authorities during a search of a house in Glengormley.

A male was talked to by department officers about unlawfully importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medicines by means of the internet.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other .

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: "It is important that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be unsafe.

"These kinds of items being offered, normally online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their security.

"You just do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More significantly, you do not understand the result drugs like this might have on your health."
